"This gorgeous Persian is an excellent example of the breed," said Donald J. Williams, president of the Cat Fanciers' Association. "And while we had numerous beautiful cats -- from Maine Coons to Siamese -- this Persian is the closest representation of its breed standard of any of the felines at our international show this year."

The CFA International Cat Show -- the Rolls-Royce of cat shows, and the world's largest -- was held in Kansas City from Friday, November 19, through Sunday, November 21. The Best of the Best was chosen Sunday afternoon from a field of the show's top six Longhair and Shorthair felines in three categories -- Kitten, Championship and Premiership.
