The CFA Centennial Celebration
The CFA was founded in 1906 and has continued to grow as a registry of pedigreed cats with over 650 clubs and 450 shows each year sprinkled around the world.
The CFA Centennial Celebration Committee, which was chartered by the Board of Directors last year, has many exciting events planned to help highlight our century of accomplishments and focus on the century to come.
The first is the introduction of the Centennial jewelry which was unveiled at the International show in San Mateo, CA. Designed by CFA cat fanciers Caroline Scott and Michael Tucker with jewelry artist Barbara Sacco, these precious pieces can be prepared in a variety of metals, finishes, formats. Each piece will be uniquely numbered, signed, and ownership registered with CFA to commemorate this event.
The second planned event is the Centennial Celebration Challenge which begins in December and runs through April of 2006. The Centennial Celebration Challenge is a wonderful new way to recognize our felines in competition.
Other events will be added & the committee hopes you will check back often and become part of the celebration by showing your pride in the CFA and helping us to welcome the next century of accomplishments by the world's largest registry of pedigreed cats.
